What's going on?

Hi Everyone! I thought we'd finally update the Colyn family blog as it has not been changed since 2006. Times are a changing.
We will try some new things to keep everyone interested and to maintain some sense of order around here. There is some social media integration for posts to be shared through Facebook, Twitter, etc. A Search function, so make sure you add labels to your posts for future reference.
Please be patient the next little while if things move around a bit, and be sure to let me know if you like or dislike whats going on.

Good Times....Great Food....

Thanks to all of you that came for our celebration. We totally enjoyed ourselves. Yes, I think you all know how to party.....But now we will need to gain some more energy for the next big event.
Some of you were asking how I did the potatoes. Here's a run down.
Cut up potatoes. Put into large bowl and microwave for 10-12 minutes.
Toss extra virgin oil or grapeseed oil all over them. Spice up with seasoning salt, pepper, roasted pepper and garlic spice, thyme, rosemary, basil, and whatever else you may find in your cupboard. I believe in letting it rip with the herbs and spices.Be creative!
Bake at 400 for 1 hour.

Wedding Shower For Michell....

I have been asked to post a notice of a wedding shower for my future daughter-in-law,Michell Mckenzie.
The cousin of the bride, Terri-Ann Wynan is hosting a shower on Sept.15th, at 7:00pm.It will be at the sproat lake fire hall.
This is not a surprise. Michell's family looks forward to meeting the grooms family before the big day. I think someone told them how we like to party!I'm sure we won't let them down with that.
Not all of you may be able to make it and that is understandable. We hope to see you there.
