Cats N Bats

Last night as the sun was setting Treena and I were sitting
on the back deck and a bat came flying all around us.
While Treena and I were ducking so we didn't get nailed by
the critter, our cat, Dasher, launched himself into the air
and caught the bat in mid flight. Pretty amazing.

A huge thank you to Aliza and Corrie for helping to coordinate the big 50th bash. What would our family be without those two girls? I am so glad everyone could make it to PA. Also, thank you Jake and Mitzie for hosting us all on Sunday. Hopefully we didn't wear your trampoline out too much.

And of course, thanks to Mom and Dad for bringing each of us into the world and for still putting up with us oddballs.

Mom we hope you are getting some relief and will be feeling much better soon. We love you!

Hi Gang, and greetings from Nashville. It has been a great week here in the music city - but it is so blinkin' hot! 90+ degrees. I've never seen so many Dolly Parton look alikes, cowboy boots and guitars in my life. Anyways, looking forward to seeing y'all on the weekend.

I had such a nice crop of tomatoes this spring..
I figured I'd share them with some other people this week.
Sent some through the auction tuesday.. fair price.
Any family members who stop by our nursery
this weekend can take a few home with them..

We are all home safe from Disneyland and had a great time! We look forward to seeing you all at the weekend!

Chico and the Chickie

Happy 7th Birthday Ezra.

Ezra's class hatched chicks and he was given 6 to take home.
We'll either be having eggs in a little while or lots of chicken for Thanksgiving.

Ally is 5

We had such a fun and very busy day for Ally's birthday!!! Thanks to "Bounce Mania" we kept a total of near 20 kids happy throughout the day. Here is a shot of William and Ally in their bouncy castle that we rented for the day. Can't believe she is 5.....her big accomplishment this week is riding her bike without her training wheels ...YeE HaW!!

Well we finally bit the bullet and got some reliable/economical transportation.
The one hard thing for me is that I'm going to Nashville this week for a preaching conference so Treena is the one who gets to break the car in. Oh well.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's today. I hope you are all enjoying a sleep-in relaxing morning. I am about to go back to bed and wait for my annual breakfast in bed. A walk in the park....

Hello all, it's been sort of quiet on the blog front lately, we must all be out enjoying the super weather. Sam and I had some time together last week and we went to a local wildflower preserve. It was gorgeous. Hope you are all well. Looking forward to the big shin-dig.
