What's going on?

Hi Everyone! I thought we'd finally update the Colyn family blog as it has not been changed since 2006. Times are a changing.
We will try some new things to keep everyone interested and to maintain some sense of order around here. There is some social media integration for posts to be shared through Facebook, Twitter, etc. A Search function, so make sure you add labels to your posts for future reference.
Please be patient the next little while if things move around a bit, and be sure to let me know if you like or dislike whats going on.
Oh, and keep up the good posts, everyone! If you need any help logging in or posting, just contact me anytime... ~John

Where People Feast.

Last night for my Birthday Colin took me to a cooking class with Dolly Watts, (Dad used to get smoked salmon from her husband Tom). She is 72 and grew up in the Hazelton area and had lots of interesting stories to tell. We had Roast duck, Bannock, sweet potatoes, salmon soup and salmon spread. Very Yummy.

Missing all the Poker Folks

Hi everybody....
Sounds like you rookie poker players are having some fun warming up your skills before a real 'playa' comes to town.
Here are a couple of pictures of all the fun that we are having without you!
We went to Richmond a couple of weeks ago and signed the "goodluck roof" Its supposed to be like the loonie under the ice from the previous Olympics, instead this time everyone has signed a portion of the roof going into the Olympic speed skating rink in Richmond.
Can't wait to see you all soon, we should be back on the Rock sometime soon.

One Chalice to rule them all..

Bridgekeeper: Stop. Who would cross the Bridge of Death must answer me these questions three, ere the other side he see.
Sir Lancelot: Ask me the questions, bridgekeeper. I am not afraid.
Bridgekeeper: What... is your name?
Sir Lancelot: My name is Sir Lancelot of Camelot.
Bridgekeeper: What... is your quest?
Sir Lancelot: To seek the Holy Grail.
Bridgekeeper: What... is your favourite colour?
Sir Lancelot: Blue.
Bridgekeeper: Go on. Off you go.
Sir Lancelot: Oh, thank you. Thank you very much.
Sir Robin: That's easy.
Bridgekeeper: Stop. Who would cross the Bridge of Death must answer me these questions three, ere the other side he see.
Sir Robin: Ask me the questions, bridgekeeper. I'm not afraid.
Bridgekeeper: What... is your name?
Sir Robin: Sir Robin of Camelot.
Bridgekeeper: What... is your quest?
Sir Robin: To seek the Holy Grail.
Bridgekeeper: What... is the capital of Assyria?
[pause]
Sir Robin: I don't know that.
[he is thrown over the edge into the volcano]
Sir Robin: Auuuuuuuugh.
Bridgekeeper: Stop. What... is your name?
Galahad: Sir Galahad of Camelot.
Bridgekeeper: What... is your quest?
Galahad: I seek the Grail.
Bridgekeeper: What... is your favourite colour?
Galahad: Blue. No, yel...
[he is also thrown over the edge]
Galahad: auuuuuuuugh.
Bridgekeeper: Hee hee heh. Stop. What... is your name?
King Arthur: It is 'Arthur', King of the Britons.
Bridgekeeper: What... is your quest?
King Arthur: To seek the Holy Grail.
Bridgekeeper: What... is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
King Arthur: What do you mean? An African or European swallow?
Bridgekeeper: Huh? I... I don't know that.
[he is thrown over]
Bridgekeeper: Auuuuuuuugh.
Sir Bedevere: How do know so much about swallows?
King Arthur: Well, you have to know these things when you're a king, you know.

Day 1: Demolition

And so it begins....we just got into our new place yesterday and have begun the big reno. We had a blast ripping the place up today. Our two child labourers did a great job!

Everything is out...even the kitchen sink.

And yes...those are CSA approved safety sun glasses.

There is nothing wrong with your set..

Seems I got a little over zealous on deleting one
of my web spaces and lost a javascript
for the family blog....

The blog will look a little funny for a short while but works..
