What's going on?

Hi Everyone! I thought we'd finally update the Colyn family blog as it has not been changed since 2006. Times are a changing.
We will try some new things to keep everyone interested and to maintain some sense of order around here. There is some social media integration for posts to be shared through Facebook, Twitter, etc. A Search function, so make sure you add labels to your posts for future reference.
Please be patient the next little while if things move around a bit, and be sure to let me know if you like or dislike whats going on.
Oh, and keep up the good posts, everyone! If you need any help logging in or posting, just contact me anytime... ~John

Here's a little appie Al invented at Oysterfest.

I wonder what gastro-erotic sensation he'll be making for New Year's?

Opa - We Love You

Today we think of Opa and reflect back on the many years that we were able to share time with him ... the times that you came to help lay bricks, split firewood, visit with Jake on Saturday's in the greenhouse, etc. We also think of Oma today and appreciate everyone who has surrounded her with love this past year - her family, Tante Jane, Pastor Sid, and her new group of friends! We love you both - God bless.

Brotherly Love..

I was shuffling through my videos trying to find
something meaningful to post at this time of year..
Getting together as brothers once in a while to relax
and have a good time was something Dad really
enjoyed. We all have been blessed with his humour.
So, you all know where it came from..

Gone fishing

Time really flies when you're having fun.

"Bucket of oysters and a couple warm beers"

I still remember that day fishing with Dad in Toquart and the trouble I had with the old motor, eventually I did get him going! It was a great day and I know he is out there, somewhere enjoying another. Like all of us, we remember Dad in many special ways.
We love you Dad and do miss you.

Get Together

Hi Everyone - Just wondering if those of us close to Port would like to get together on the 10th to remember dad. I was thinking we could meet at the graveside at around 4:30 for a few moments and then go over to mom's for a potluck dinner? Whaddyathink? (If you are in - maybe write in your response what you'll bring.) Have a great week!
