Welcome to the Colyn family blog page.. Here is our forum for all things related to the Port Alberni Colyn family..
What's going on?
Hi Everyone! I thought we'd finally update the Colyn family blog as it has not been changed since 2006. Times are a changing.
We will try some new things to keep everyone interested and to maintain some sense of order around here. There is some social media integration for posts to be shared through Facebook, Twitter, etc. A Search function, so make sure you add labels to your posts for future reference.
Please be patient the next little while if things move around a bit, and be sure to let me know if you like or dislike whats going on.
Oh, and keep up the good posts, everyone! If you need any help logging in or posting, just contact me anytime... ~John

We should leave around 830 am .
Low tide on Saturday is at 10 am for Toquart bay.
We could all meet at Johns place? by about 8-815 .
We still need some dry firewood and a Coast Guard approved stomach pump!
Get a coffee and pack all ye culinary d'lites.
Da bus waits fer no one!

Opa & Nathan
Hi everyone, we have been looking at pictures of Opa and find it is bringing us joy thinking about these times. Please share pictures that you might have. This one is of when we just moved into our first home in Campbell River, and Dad was tickling Nate with his beard.

The Emperor's New Clothes
Here is a picture of dad taken on Sunday afternoon. He has since then been moved into his own room (not in ICU anymore). Now visiting will be a little better. I don't really have the most recent updated news so I will let Aliza add that, I just wanted to put the picture on for all to see.

Update on Dad.
Hi everyone.
Well, Dad is in the Hospital, and so far he has Pneumonia in both lungs, also some type of infection going on. As of this morning they did not know what it was . He has a rash and swelling in his feet, and something affecting his liver. We are very happy Dad finally agreed to go the hospital, he should have gone a week ago, but would not. Now that he has antibiotics helping him fight this off he should get stronger and then they will run more tests. We will keep posting and calling as we know more.
