2008 update

I am just cleaning up my camera in preparation for the festivities tomorrow night. Thought I'd drop a couple of pictures here before the year is over. Since I have not been a good girl in getting a Christmas photo out to ya'll here are my kidlets. See you in about 15 hours.

a shuttle will be at the departure bay terminal to pick up any mainlanders.

First we are off to Costco for some Winter meat , and then to Bellisfair for clothes and we will stay at the Silver Reef Casino and then we will eat at the most expensive Chinese Restaurant...."Platinum Dragon" then its out to the Nutcracker in Vancouver......


In about 3 weeks she wont want to come back.

Opa - We Love You

Today we think of Opa and reflect back on the many years that we were able to share time with him ... the times that you came to help lay bricks, split firewood, visit with Jake on Saturday's in the greenhouse, etc. We also think of Oma today and appreciate everyone who has surrounded her with love this past year - her family, Tante Jane, Pastor Sid, and her new group of friends! We love you both - God bless.

I still remember that day fishing with Dad in Toquart and the trouble I had with the old motor, eventually I did get him going! It was a great day and I know he is out there, somewhere enjoying another. Like all of us, we remember Dad in many special ways.

There came a moment at the oyster fest when Willem and Alan took over the outdoor oyster bar. It was really something to behold. It reminded me of this clip from an old Seinfeld episode. Instead of Kramer and Newman making sausage - put in Al and Will serving up oysters.

Simons ....progress

As I am sure you all know Simons arm developed a pressure sore while in a cast. This is a good picture about 3 weeks after the cast was taken off. Needless to say this was a very huge sore. It is now slowly partially closing and a protruding scar is forming over the large area.

Sorry if it gross' anyone out but it is quite an experience.

Here we go again! I think we're getting pretty good at this now.But this will be the last one for this year folks.
