Welcome to the Colyn family blog page.. Here is our forum for all things related to the Port Alberni Colyn family..
What's going on?
Hi Everyone! I thought we'd finally update the Colyn family blog as it has not been changed since 2006. Times are a changing.
We will try some new things to keep everyone interested and to maintain some sense of order around here. There is some social media integration for posts to be shared through Facebook, Twitter, etc. A Search function, so make sure you add labels to your posts for future reference.
Please be patient the next little while if things move around a bit, and be sure to let me know if you like or dislike whats going on.
Oh, and keep up the good posts, everyone! If you need any help logging in or posting, just contact me anytime... ~John

Thank goodness the 13 year old knows what he is doing and can help her out. Its a hurdle but she is getting it. Plus Colin loves this stuff and is a good teacher.

Fort Langley Colyns
Hello from the Mainland,
Corrie inspired me to post some recent pics. Hope you are all well and enjoying Spring Break - Anna asks to go to school everyday . . . I'm trying to enjoy her enthusiasm for school as I doubt it will last forever!

Colyn Camp
Hello everyone:
I just booked our church camp for August 8-11 at Rathtrevor. The same site is available for the whole of the following week until the Friday. I know that is not the best place to go, but I am just throwing it out there if anyone thinks that might be a good idea. We could also look into reserving 5 sites at Stamp Falls but we would not get the ones at the good spots. Everyone should start thinking about where we could go. Stamp Falls is always nice, but us Port Albernians find it too hard to try to get sites without commitment as to exactly when you would arrive. Think about this and let's get something started. Also let's think about when we would do this. I like August myself. I know that there is someone in the family having a huge celebration somewhere around the 23 of August so let's maybe not pick that time or maybe because then everyone will already be here. Think about and let's get this started. Thanks

Turkey Carver, circa 1980
Here is a painting I made of Dad. I hope to make a smaller one for Mom as this one is a bit too big, 20X30. We are all doing well in Victoria. We hope to see you all again soon.
