Welcome to the Colyn family blog page.. Here is our forum for all things related to the Port Alberni Colyn family..
What's going on?
Hi Everyone! I thought we'd finally update the Colyn family blog as it has not been changed since 2006. Times are a changing.
We will try some new things to keep everyone interested and to maintain some sense of order around here. There is some social media integration for posts to be shared through Facebook, Twitter, etc. A Search function, so make sure you add labels to your posts for future reference.
Please be patient the next little while if things move around a bit, and be sure to let me know if you like or dislike whats going on.
Oh, and keep up the good posts, everyone! If you need any help logging in or posting, just contact me anytime... ~John

The Grey Cup is coming up on Sunday November 19 in Winnipeg. For those of you who can't make it to Winnipeg, we are hosting a Grey Cup Party in our living-room! We've booked a big-screen T.V. for the event; however, if anyone has access to a powerpoint projector - that would be ideal. Let us know a.s.a.p.. The half time show in Winnipeg will be Nelly Furtado. The half time show at Jake's will be a Birthday Party for Kiara and Amy! (Happy Birthday girls!) So, if everyone can bring: some munchies for the game (appies/junk food); plus supply your own alcoholic beverages; plus a dozen open-face buns for the meal (we'll look after soup); plus your quarters for the Grey Cup Pool; and, dress according to your team's colours (this is optional - also, it still hasn't been determined who's playing West vs East in the Grey Cup Game). The game starts at 3:00 p.m., so come anytime after 2:00 p.m. to place your bets and to get a good seat. If you could R.S.V.P. so that we can be sure to have enough seats - thanks. We hope to see you here.

Way back in the olden days

Today during dinner Nathan was asking what the Grease movie was about. I said it was about some teenagers singing and dancing and it took place back in the olden days. Hanna pipes in "it was like in the 80's".
