What's going on?

Hi Everyone! I thought we'd finally update the Colyn family blog as it has not been changed since 2006. Times are a changing.
We will try some new things to keep everyone interested and to maintain some sense of order around here. There is some social media integration for posts to be shared through Facebook, Twitter, etc. A Search function, so make sure you add labels to your posts for future reference.
Please be patient the next little while if things move around a bit, and be sure to let me know if you like or dislike whats going on.
Oh, and keep up the good posts, everyone! If you need any help logging in or posting, just contact me anytime... ~John

Sunday

Hey y'all, I am just needing a head count for this Sunday afternoon BBQ at our place. It would help lots if each family would bring a salad or dessert along. Could you post if you are coming and what you would like to bring. We will take care of the BBQ stuff....either burgers or Lola's yummy skewers. Thanks!!

    Thanks for having us all over on Sunday, Corrie and Ed. We are looking forward to seeing you and your little family. Our whole family will come - five people. We will bring a layered salad. We are planning on listening to Brother Darren preach first, and then drive up. What time were you thinking of eating? See you Sunday.

    I think we missed something here. Didn't know you were doing a do. Did I miss a blog-invite? Sigh. Sorry to miss out on this. Anthony and Jonah will be taking archery lessons at the cadet camp out this weekend. Hope you Colyns all have an awesome time together. By the way, is this for Ally's birthday? We haven't heard of anything for dad's 75th. Is anyone planning something? (Unfortunately we are unable to come up island on his birthday weekend as we are having a vanHuizen reunion here to celebrate my brother-in-law's 40th.) Somebody please let us know if there will be a dad-fest!! thanks! -jacqueline

    I propose that we do something for Dad the weekend of the 9-11th. I have that Sunday off and could make it. Let's do it. I think we need another Colyn dance.

    We can manage June 9-11, at least parts of it. Prefer getting tog. on Saturday night b/c of wedding work, etc. I'm all for a dance, too. jvh
