We've heard that a few of you are coming to town for thanksgiving. We look forward to seeing you.
The PA group has organized some time together for sunday. If you plan to come please let me know and pick an item or 2 to bring along.
Sunday coffee will be hosted by Jake and Mitzie. You can ask them if you need to bring anything.
Then to make it easier for all, we have booked the church basement from 3:oo-until approx. 7:oo
to share a turkey dinner. We will set up the wii game and movies for the kids as well.
This makes it easier for Oma and Opa as all going to their house gets to be a little too much for them.
I will do the bird and ham.If you could let me know what and who's bringing the following based on 35-40 people.
Potatoes, veggies, desserts, buns, salad, cranberry sauce, and beverages.I'm open to your ideas.....
See you all soon,
Yvonne
Welcome to the Colyn family blog page.. Here is our forum for all things related to the Port Alberni Colyn family..
What's going on?
Hi Everyone! I thought we'd finally update the Colyn family blog as it has not been changed since 2006. Times are a changing.
We will try some new things to keep everyone interested and to maintain some sense of order around here. There is some social media integration for posts to be shared through Facebook, Twitter, etc. A Search function, so make sure you add labels to your posts for future reference.
Please be patient the next little while if things move around a bit, and be sure to let me know if you like or dislike whats going on.
Oh, and keep up the good posts, everyone! If you need any help logging in or posting, just contact me anytime... ~John

Louis Armstrong in the making
Corrie took this picture of Joel on Sunday, and I thought it was amazing. Not because its amazing that Joel is practicing...but she some how made the basement dungeon look artsy and Jazzy. Thanks Cor.

Not bad for Second place
Every year at the CanWest trade show they have a floral competition. This is open to anyone who dares put their work under the critical judgment of the industry and the general public. I am proud to say My Twin Towers won Second place. For the record there was a total of 22 entries. This shot is taken in our store.
Lobster anyone
So my friend Herman goes to Nova Scotia and when he comes back he brings 4 Lobster for us. He also brought a bottle of Nova Scotian Verranzo Rose, this is a wine that date back to when the explorer Verranzo named the area "Arcadia" Brother Will filled in the details on how to cook the beasts.

Evan Charles Howard....we think?
Hey all....he is here FINALLY!!!
I have to admit I was being very impatient this past week!!
Longer labour than I was expecting but we are so happy and relieved it is all done and good!!
He is such an easy little guy so far and Ally and William are loving him.....they can't get enough!
Looking forward to introducing him to all of our wonderful family!!
Thanks for the messages and prayers!!
Ella moves out!
Well, as you probably all know, Ella has flown the coop and Willem and I only have 2 left at home. She was very excited about moving to Victoria and looking forward to getting more educated. Her room is very quaint and I will be posting a couple of pictures. I realized that we are the first to have a chick leave the nest. To warn you all, it was pretty tough. But also exciting to see her start a new life.

busy week
9 months ago when we found out that we were expecting we didn't realize how busy we'd be the week of our third kids birth-day.
On the list of things to do include -
- Williams first day of preschool and first violin lesson
- Ally's first day of kindergarten
- swim lessons
- have a baby (perhaps Labour day would be most appropriate)
Here is William trying out his rented violin.
Have a fun busy week going back to school everyone !!!
