Jonah got first place at his grade 5 science fair. He came up with an experiment to see how various salts effect freezing water. He was able to show that the more salt you have in the water that colder temperatures it takes to freeze. this kind of experiment plays right into the hand of global warming concerns. Jonah speculated that if you effected the salt in the oceans you may be able to effect the ice melting in the polar caps. He gets to present at finals at Uvic. Good work.
Welcome to the Colyn family blog page.. Here is our forum for all things related to the Port Alberni Colyn family..
What's going on?
Hi Everyone! I thought we'd finally update the Colyn family blog as it has not been changed since 2006. Times are a changing.
We will try some new things to keep everyone interested and to maintain some sense of order around here. There is some social media integration for posts to be shared through Facebook, Twitter, etc. A Search function, so make sure you add labels to your posts for future reference.
Please be patient the next little while if things move around a bit, and be sure to let me know if you like or dislike whats going on.
Oh, and keep up the good posts, everyone! If you need any help logging in or posting, just contact me anytime... ~John

Great job Jonah. It looks like your standing proud!
ReplyDeleteFabulous work Jonah :) Al Gore could use you in his next presentation "Inconvenient Truth" Part II. Enjoy your time at UVic - that is a great honour!
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Jonah.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can be responsible for saving the ice caps. Good job.
