Welcome to the Colyn family blog page.. Here is our forum for all things related to the Port Alberni Colyn family..
What's going on?
Hi Everyone! I thought we'd finally update the Colyn family blog as it has not been changed since 2006. Times are a changing.
We will try some new things to keep everyone interested and to maintain some sense of order around here. There is some social media integration for posts to be shared through Facebook, Twitter, etc. A Search function, so make sure you add labels to your posts for future reference.
Please be patient the next little while if things move around a bit, and be sure to let me know if you like or dislike whats going on.
Oh, and keep up the good posts, everyone! If you need any help logging in or posting, just contact me anytime... ~John

I'm Back!!
This some Muscari Latifolium at the Keukenhof Gardens. I went there twice, lots of nice pictures and way to many people.
Here is Carl and I in North Holland at one of the biggest bulb growers in Holland. They have over 450 acres of bulbs planted, 200 acres alone are Hyacinths. We buy quite a few varieties from them, pretty amazing to see so much of one flower.
I thought these dudes were sweet! Check out Mr. Van Halen with the huge guitar.
Another picture inside Keukenhof (Kitchen Garden) pretty awesome, it was probably the best week to visit, every person you passed by was speaking a different language, LOTS of Germans!!!
This is just around the corner from the Van Noort warehouse, rode here on my bike and took a few pics.
All in all it was a good trip, it was way more work and very little fun time. It's not quite the same as going with a contingent of Colyn's, ie..... no fighting and less drinking.
Glad to be home.
Tot Ziens Henk

Nice pics dude! Welcome back.
ReplyDeleteHenk, your pictures are awesome!!! Sounds like you had a great time. Anthony and the kids and I will be heading to Holland in mid/late June. Can we still go to the Keukenhof, or is it a set time (spring only?)
